Every journey has its beginning. Here's ours.

Cosmic Creatures was created in my high school biology class, where I had nothing to do but doodle as I lamented over the effects of ocean acidification on fish populations that my teacher was discussing. I looked down at the happy graphite fish I'd drawn on my paper. I imagined it swimming through space, exploring the galaxy and dreaming of new, better destinations than an acidifying ocean. The bell rang, and my dreams of astronaut-fish were put on hold. But as I continued my day, I realized something else. The clothes most of my peers wore were so, well, boring. For people with so much character and creativity, the bland slogans on their t-shirts betrayed them. I thought back to the fish I'd drawn earlier, and concluded that simple clothing doesn't have to be boring. People who create stories should be able to wear clothing that tells a story. People with character should be able to wear clothes with character. For me, that story began with a small fish that had big dreams and an even bigger smile.
People with character should be able to wear clothes with character.
